Yoga is a gentle, effective and fun practice for all children. I approach working with children from a holistic foundation using sound, breathwork, movement and deep relaxation to balance and strengthen the body. Children of all ages (birth to teenagers) and abilities are welcome to join me.

In addition to my long time personal yoga practice, I studied with Sonia Sumar and completed the instructor training program for Yoga for the Special Child in the fall of 2000.

Sessions

My program is geared towards individual instruction and is tailored to fit each childs’ needs. Although I generally work one on one with the child, I enjoy sharing the poses and techniques with family members so they can integrate the practice into their daily schedules.

Sessions take place in the family’s home or in my studio and last approximately 30 to 60 minutes. An initial interview with the family and child is requested and collaboration with the child’s therapists (occupational, physical, speech) are beneficial.

With my extensive background, I blend my knowledge of development, massage, craniosacral therapy, and yoga into sessions that are unique, educational and fun.
